Quiet Little Town

Quiet little town, silent starry night;

The manger waits in joyful expectancy.

Nobody knew the gift they’d receive

Just by answering the door.

Can you hear the knocking, gently on your heart?

Open your eyes and see:

The mystery of the Babe of Bethlehem,

He’s reaching out to you.

So many empty hearts He wants to fill,

Will you? Will you?

Holy Babe of Bethlehem, what do you want from me?

Only a hand to hold, feet to walk with me,

Bringing Good News to the world.

Quiet little town, silent starry night;

Empty hands and open hearts are those that receive Him,

Those that with the angels can recognize His love,

For you, for me.

The mystery of the Babe of Bethlehem,

What is He trying to say?

Find grandeur in simplicity, greatness in humility,

Give without seeking return.

Live for eternity, love unreservedly,

In this true happiness is found.

Quiet little town, silent starry night;

I want to receive you Lord.

My King and my Savior, holy little child,

Tender one, innocent and mild.

I want to live this mystery of love-

Babe of Bethlehem, this night be born in me.
